IGL Orders Over 220 Dispensers from Compac Industries

February 17, 2010 | New Zealand and India

Compac CNG dispensers prepared for export

Compac Industries Ltd of New Zealand, a designer and manufacturer of CNG dispensers, has received an order from Indian customer Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), for 144 car dispensers and 82 bus dispensers. The order follows an initial order from IGL in May 2009.  Compac says this second order will be delivered to India in lots over a 6 month period, from April through to September this year, for installation in some of the many new CNG stations currently being built in New Delhi, as well as several other areas surrounding the city.

The dispenser orders are indicative of India’s increasing focus on using CNG as a clean and economic alternative fuel, Compac adds — vital for the future of India, and the care of its environment. India has one of the largest fleet of natural gas vehicles in the world, and holds the highest NGV growth potential in the world.
