IANGV Launches New Website

March 21, 2006
ImageThe IANGV has launched its new website, www.iangv.org, part of an overall strategy to increase the availability and improve the quality of natural gas vehicle (NGV) industry information. The initiative is a new approach for the IANGV, with publication of the site to be managed by NGV Network, publishers of NGV Global. There will be close integration of the IANGV and NGV Global websites.

Dr Garth Harris, Secretary-General of the IANGV says the new site will complement the news and information available through NGV Global. "Following the success of NGV Global, which we launched in March last year, the Executive Committee of IANGV felt that a new website for IANGV would be a natural progression. Under the new arrangement, content on the site will be updated more frequently, allowing visitors to be kept up to date with the fast paced change in the industry."
With the Stage 1 structure of the site now in place, which includes a more intuitive menu structure, the focus will be on increasing the content and a number of tools and resources for site visitors. Features currently in operation or to be introduced in the coming months include:
- The world’s most extensive library of reports, papers, conference proceedings and publications on natural gas vehicles.
- An online shop to feature publications, recent conference proceedings and other information resources of use to the natural gas vehicle industry
- Online unit conversion tools, to be expanded to include industry specific units
- Extensive country and regional statistics and data
- An online Business Directory to allow visitors to search for IANGV members in specific fields
- Case studies of natural gas fleets and refuelling systems
A corresponding facelift and major software upgrade of the NGV Global website and newsletter will also occur in the coming months as part of the overall communications program.
