August 13, 2006

ImageIndia

Media outlets in India are reporting statements by Hyundai of India
saying that the company is currently in the development phase and plans
to launch an OEM compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle early in 2007.

Hyundai joins Tata, Ford, and Hindustan Motors (representing
Mitsubishi and Ambassador) on the list of companies with CNG product
either available now or in the near future. The reports do not indicate
which model will be released though mention is made that it will be a
‘small’ car.
