Everest Kanto to Expand Dubai Operations

January 16, 2006

India, Mumbai

Indian compressed natural gas (CNG) cylinder manufacturer Everest Kanto (EKC) has announced plans to establish a wholly owned subsidiary in Dubai and to expand its existing manufacturing capacity in the country.

Company Director, Puneet Khurana, has told NGV Global that the company plans to double manufacturing capacity Dubai from 100,000 CNG cylinders per annum to 200,000 cylinders per annum. The company’s new subsidiary will establish a new manufacturing plant to produce the extra units.

EKC was recently floated on the Bombay Stock Exchange with funds raised partly being used to fund the expansion in Dubai as well as expansion plans in India and other overseas markets.
