Lessons on Safety and Speed-to-Market
The European Natural Gas Vehicle Association, in partnership with the National Hydrogen Association offers a one day training seminar covering natural gas vehicle (NGV) and hydrogen vehicle safety issues. This workshop will focus on safety-based lessons from NGV and refuelling station experiences that ultimately may help or hinder rapid market adoption.
The NGV pathway to hydrogen provides an opportunity to learn from specific safety incidents that affect both vehicles and fuelling stations, with an eye toward market development and sustainability. The case studies alone make this a must-attend event.
Ever wonder what happens when an alternative fuelled vehicle is in a crash? What happens when an unqualified person installs a tank designed for a different fuel, or modifies the car's fuel receptacle to accommodate an available fuel in lieu of the fuel the car requires? Specifics of international regulations, standards and approvals for both vehicles and fuelling stations provide an understanding of the technical/legal framework that ultimately affects market introduction and expansion.
