European motorists keen on alternative fuels and looking to upgrade vehicles in 2008 might like to consider the VW Passat, expected to be released with a natural gas engine in November next year. Spy pictures obtained by renowned automotive ‘spy photographer’ Hans G. Lehmann show the sporty sedan (code named CC). The images, believed to be of the gasoline version of the vehicle, don’t reveal the 150 hp TSI (compressor/turbo) NG engine or the three under floor CNG cylinders delivering a rumoured driving range of 380 kms available in the CNG variant.
