Abdul Datuk Rahim Hj Hashim, President of ANGVA and now VP of IGU

The President of Asia Pacific NGV Association (ANGVA) Abdul Datuk Rahim Hj Hashim has been elected Vice President of the International Gas Union (IGU) at the Word Gas Conference, held last week in Amsterdam. Datuk Rahim is a Vice President of Gas Business for Malaysian energy giant, Petronas, and is Chairman of the company’s natural gas vehicle subsidiary, Petronas NGV.

In 2009, Datuk Rahim will become President of IGU and in 2012 the World Gas Conference will be held in Kuala Lumpur. Thus the NGV industry has a strong advocate at the highest levels of the gas industry. 

The newly elected President of the IGU for 2006-2009 is Ernesto Lopez Anadón from Argentina, also a strong supporter of NGV industry.
