The closing ceremony for NGV2006 saw the baton passed to Alvaro Teixeira, Executive Secretary of Instituto de Brasileiro de Petroleo e Gas (IBP), who will be playing host to the event. NGV 2008 will be held at the newly built RioCidadeNova Convention Center.

The Asia-Pacific Natural Gas Vehicle Association (ANGVA) have confirmed dates for their 2nd Conference and Exhibition, ANGVA 2007, to be held in Bangkok, Thailand. The event will be held at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Center (BITEC) from November 27-29, 2007. More details and a call for papers are expected to be issued shortly.

As a contribution towards clean environment and promoting CNG culture in Pakistan, Comfort Technologies is holding “First International CNG Exhibition 2006” from Dec. 29 to December 31, 2006 in the historical city of Lahore.

On October 4, renewable energy and hydrogen industry leaders participated in the first event dedicated to showing how renewable technologies will be able to produce enough hydrogen commercially for the growing hydrogen economy. Over 140 industry leaders from over 30 states and four countries came to the National Hydrogen Association’s Renewables to Hydrogen Forum in Albuquerque, NM to discuss real issues regarding technology development, research, and commercialization strategies.

Three hundred people from throughout the US participated in a webcast earlier this week to learn about fuel, vehicle and emissions benefits derived from using natural gas in transit fleets. The Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVI), on behalf of Clean Energy, presented a ninety minute interactive session about the superior business case and environmental advantages in choosing natural gas for transit fleets. “Transit Operations: The Natural Gas Vehicle Connection” presented the most recent information available on regulations, funding, and product availability for transit fleet applications.
