Organizers of the upcoming ANGVA 2007 Conference and Exhibition have released a comprehensive conference program , featuring more than 65 papers over the three day event. Conference Organizer, Brett Jarman, says the program caters for the diverse needs of industry stakeholders, with content suitable for fleet operators, policy makers, regulators, and industry manufacturers and service providers alike. “We’ve gone to great lengths to make sure there is something for everyone in the program. Coupled with a three day exhibition of more than 5,000 square metres, two technical tours on the day preceding the event and a Safety Workshop on the day following, ANGVA 2007 looks set to be the largest and most comprehensive event for the industry this year.”

Natural gas engine developer, Cummins Westport is to receive a prestigious Calstart Blue Sky Award, for the company’s for introducing and producing natural gas engines in a new market for heavier duty vehicles and for consistently meeting tough emission requirements in advance of regulations. The award will be presented at a gala luncheon to be held September 6, 2007 at the elegant Athenaeum Club on the campus of Caltech in Pasadena, California. Call for Abstracts Closes November 15

Organizers of the 11th IANGV Biennial Conference and Exhibition, NGV 2008, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil have launched the event website , issuing a Call for Abstracts at the same time. Abstracts are invited for up to ten different session categories and must be submitted online via the website no later than November 15, 2007. The event will be held at the recently completed RioCidadeNova Convention Center, in downtown Rio and just 20 minutes from the international airport. Applications for exhibition space are also being accepted currently, with some of the 2,500 square meters already allocated to exhibitors from around the world. The Alternative Fuels & Vehicles National Conference + Expo 2008 (AF&V 2008) will be held in Las Vegas, Nevada, from May 11-14, 2008. Details about the national conference, presented by the Alternative Fuel Vehicle Institute (AFVI), are now available on the AFVi website. This is the only event held in North America that attracts 2,000 key experts and end users to accelerate the commercial adoption of alternative fuels, vehicles, and advanced transportation technologies.  It will be held at the Rio All-Suite Hotel and Casino.

China, Beijing

Asia Gas Congress, previously known as China Gas Summit in 2005 & 2006, is designed to look at gas markets in Asian countries including established markets like Japan, Korea and Taiwan, growing markets with great potential China and India and emerging markets such as Thailand and Singapore. According to organizers, it is the only event focusing on whole gas value chain ranging from supply demand dynamics, LNG terminal and pipeline construction, LNG shipping & shipbuilding and downstream utilization. Abstract Submissions Invited

SIAM (Society of Indian Auto Manufacturers) has announced the 2nd Global Automotive Technology Conference “TECHNEX 08” a technical seminar on 24th- 26th April 2008 at Bangalore, Inida. An exhibition is also being organized concurrently with the seminar, to provide an opportunity to showcase automotive technology / exhibits.

The Asia-Pacific NGV Association (ANGVA) is seeking expressions of interest from organizations  that would like to undertake the task of being Organizer of the Conference and Exhibition ANGVA 2009. It has been decided that ANGVA will hold a conference every two years, the next one being ANGVA 2007 in Bangkok in November.  The conference and exhibition after that should be held in the second half of 2009.
