Conversion Numbers Looking Good for Fuel Systems Solutions

August 8, 2009 | USA, Santa Ana, CA

In its 2nd quarter report, Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (FSYS) , an alternative fuel systems provider, reports the likely prospect of doubling the number of conversions over the previous year, from nearly 58,000 units in 2008, up to 120,000 units. Mariano Costamagna, CEO, said, “Our expanded delayed original equipment manufacturer (DOEM) capacity delivered record quarterly systems installations of 37,000 [up from 30,000 in first quarter] and our business is on track to exceed 120,000 conversions in 2009.” The report says demand for alternative fuel vehicles is strong in Europe and will undoubtedly return worldwide as global markets improve.
