Disneyland Resort Expands CNG Refueling Station

October 19, 2009 | Source: LaughingPlace.com | USA, Anaheim

The Disneyland Resort has increased its CNG storage capacity by more than 50% to keep up with fuel demand. The expansion, in operation from earlier this month, was necessitated by the conversion in February 2009 of 16 resort guest trams, which transport guests between the two theme parks and parking facilities. As reported by LaughingPlace.com, the project was partially funded by $200,000 in Clean Transportation Funding from the Mobile Source Air Pollution Reduction Review Committee (MSRC) – an entity that helps to fund initiatives focused on reducing air pollution from mobile sources. The Resort also has several attractions fueled by CNG, including the Columbia Sailing Ship, Tom Sawyer Island Rafts, Jungle Cruise boats and all the Main Street vehicles.
