May 5, 2009

India, Vadodara

An 1800 member cooperative in India, The Charotar Gas Sahakari Mandali Ltd (CGSML), is reportedly to set up a Rs 10 crore (USD 2 million) Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling station near Chikodhra in Gujarat State. The cooperative currently supplies piped natural gas in Anand, and is expanding into CNG supply under a cooperation agreement with Gujarat State Petroleum Corporation (GSPC). Two additional stations are planned within the next year. The Chikodhra station will be the first highway CNG station between Ahmedabad and Vadodara in Gujarat.
