I live in Brazil, and here the only factory-fitted CNG vehicle available brand new is the Fiat Siena, but there were some options from Volkswagen with the Santana and later the Polo Sedan, and Chevrolet with a rebadged Opel Astra. A cousin of mine currently owns a Siena with the factory CNG setup.

I believe some CNG-powered vehicles will be released at least in limited markets like happens nowadays with the Civic GX. I believe the most suitable options for the American market in a short time would be the Fiat Doblò to compete against the Ford Transit Connect and maybe a bare chassis version of the Ducato intended to the step-van market, possibly based in the RV chassis currently offered in the European market.

Considering natural gas is more resistant to pre-ignition it can even hold more boost from a turbo or a supercharger, increasing the efficiency. Also this engine layout allows a better low-end torque, being more suitable for a vehicle slightly larger than its 4cyl counterpart was intended to fit into.

It's a great advance in matter of emissions, because diesel fuel currently available in Brazil has a really bad quality.
