Clean Air Power Opens Up Down Under

May 8, 2007

UK based Clean Air Power Limited (CAP) has announced the establishment of an Australian subsidiary, Clean Air Power Ltd Pty, to meet the strong demand for its Dual-Fuel™ technology. It has employed an Australian Director and a Business Development Manager to facilitate delivery of current contracts and to further develop sales throughout Australia.

January 2007 saw the announcement of a significant order when Mitchell Corp Australia Pty Ltd, a bulk logistics solutions provider, ordered 50 systems worth a total of approximately £1.5m. The first installations under this contract started this week. This order is significant as it illustrates the continuing penetration into the Australian market and the revenue associated with this contract is double the sales made in Australia last year.

The Company has received a new order from Kleenheat Gas Pty Ltd, a local supplier of liquefied natural gas (LNG) for transport, resulting in additional sales of approximately £0.25m, providing further evidence of the growing interest in LNG for heavy duty applications in Australia. Clean Air Power's Dual-Fuel™ technology will be installed on its heavy duty trucks.

John Pettitt, CEO of Clean Air Power, says "In line with our original business plan, we are expanding our Australian operation to meet the increase in demand from this exciting market. The product is proven, the product benefits are compelling and there is a strong spirit of cooperation with our partners and customers in Australia. We are optimistic regarding the future opportunities in this market."

New Commercial Team

Gary Ireson, Director – Australia, was formerly General Manager of Kleenheat Pty Ltd and led the project to install a liquefaction plant in Perth which will produce 160 tonnes of LNG per day with a high proportion dedicated to vehicles using the Clean Air Power technology.

Tim Car, Business Development Manager, was previously Managing Director of Alternative Fuel Technology specialising in emulsified fuels. Tim is tasked with developing sales and strengthening links with local dealers.
