Following steady revenue growth of its first CNG filling station in the Pingdingshan area, in central Henan province, Pingdingshan City Zhenyuan Energy Technology Developing Co., Ltd, one of China Prosperous Clean Energy Corporation’s (CHPC) wholly owned sub-subsidiary companies, has applied for approvals and permits for the construction of another CNG filling station and expects to begin construction in 2010. Given its significant potential of growth, Pingdingshan Company has been considered by Zhanhe District of Pingdingshan City as one of the “Top Ten Key Supported Projects”, according to a company press release.
On completion there will be four CHPC CNG fillingn stations in Henan Provice, with the other two, operated by Jiaozuo Prosperous Co., Ltd (“Jiaozuo Prosperous”), located in Jiaozuo City to the north. West Jiefang Road Station, a 4.9 acre facility, is one of the two major CNG filling stations operated by Jiaozuo Prosperous. With a design capacity of 30,000 cubic meters per day, five dual-nozzle dispensers and four drive-through lanes, West Jiefang Road Station is one of the larger-sized CNG filling stations owned by CHPC. In this instance the fuel source is compressed coal-bed methane.
