US based and listed China Natural Gas, Inc. a provider of compressed natural gas (CNG) for vehicular fuel and pipeline natural gas for industrial, commercial and residential use in Xi’an, China, has acquired one compressor station located in the west of Xitong Highway of Weiyang District in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. The acquisition will increase the Company’s daily processing capacity from 300,000 cubic meters to 650,000 cubic meters, which can support an more than 20 additional CNG stations. The compressor station has the necessary government permits to operate and has commenced operation on September 4, 2008. “We are very pleased to share this announcement with our investors,” stated Mr. Qinan Ji, CEO and Chairman of the Board of China Natural Gas, Inc. “This compressor station is the largest station by capacity in the city of Xi’an, and its acquisition marks the other major strategic move by the Company. This further insures the compressed natural gas supply of our existing as well as future constructed and acquired filling stations in the area.”
