Changi Airport to Evaluate CNG-Powered Ground Vehicles

Sources in Singapore confirm that Changi airport authorities are looking at the feasibility of commissioning compressed natural gas (CNG) ground vehicles to reduce diesel pollutants, providing a clean-air benefit for both airport workers and passengers. A trial baggage-handling vehicle and CNG forklift are expected to be delivered soon to commence on-site evaluations while refuelling needs are currently under consideration. Airport authorities have not made any official comment on the matter yet but are expected to in due course.
