Linde to Outline New LNG Fueling Technology at LNG 17

NGV Global 2014NGV Global has announced the successful bidder of and location for NGV Global 2014, the association’s 14th biennial conference and exhibition. The event will be held at the Long Beach Convention and Exhibition Centre in May 2014, following a successful bid from Gladstein Neandross and Associates (GNA). Announcing the successful bid at the NGV Global General Assembly, Alicia Milner, Events Committee Chair and incoming Chair of the Association, said that one of the strengths of the bid was the high level of support from high level industry members. Europe Prepares for Sixth Blue Corridor Rally

From 8-24 September, Russian natural gas company Gazprom and German natural gas company E.ON Ruhrgas will join together to support the sixth Blue Corridor 2012 NGV Rally, which will feature natural gas vehicles (NGVs) driving across Europe in an effort to educate the public on the benefits of natural gas as a transportation fuel. Through events held along the 6,100 kilometer-long rally route, Gazprom and E.ON Ruhrgas will demonstrate why methane is the most abundant, clean, safe and affordable transportation fuel. Netherlands Sets 2015 Goals for LNG-Fuelled Transportation

Several Dutch companies are working with the government of The Netherlands to accelerate the introduction of liquefied natural gas (LNG) as a transportation fuel, for both land and marine activity. The declared goal is to have at least 50 barges, 50 ships and 500 heavy-duty trucks powered by LNG by 2015.  Project initiators Deltalinqs, Energy Valley Foundation and Port Authority LNG TR & D reached a “green deal” agreement to this effect June 14th with Dutch Minister of Economic Affairs, Agriculture and Innovation Maxime Verhagen — who currently also acts as Vice Prime Minister — and State Secretary Atsma. LNG-Fueled Marine Seminar to Tour GE Turbine Facility

Participants at the forthcoming LNG-Fueled Marine Seminar in Houston, Texas, will have the opportunity to visit GE Energy Division’s East Houston turbine facility, where they will be able to see the LM2500 dual-fuel system and learn of the latest advancements in efforts to fuel more ships with liquefied natural gas (LNG). The water-jet system is being manufactured for the 100-meter Buquebus catamaran, under construction by Australian shipbuilder Incat. The LNG-powered ferry will transport up to 1,000 passengers between Buenos Aires, Argentina and Montevideo, Uruguay, at speeds up to 50 knots (57.5 miles per hour).
