Prospects for the Development and Use of CNG in Transport – Prague, February 20 – 21, 2012
The Czech Gas Association (CGA) will deliver its 5th international conference dedicated to the use of compressed natural gas and biomethane for transport in Central and Eastern Europe next month, under the auspices of the Czech Republic’s Ministry of the Environment and Ministry of Transport. The program includes presentations on LNG Blue Corridors (Manuel Lage, NGVA Europe), E.ON Group’s strategic plans (Jiøí Šimek), Integrating Petroleum and NGV Infrastructures in Europe (Jeffrey Seisler), and a host of other papers by speakers from more than ten countries. United States Secretary of Energy Dr. Steven Chu will give the opening Keynote Address at the 2012 Green Truck Summit on Monday, March 5. The event is considered the leading educational forum on “green” technology and initiatives for the commercial truck industry in North America. Jointly produced by the National Truck Equipment Association (NTEA) and CALSTART, an advanced technologies consortium based in California, the Summit program has 29 educational sessions including the following sessions specifically addressing natural gas vehicles:

As the North America Gas Summit draws near, Michael Gallagher, Senior Adviser Westport Innovations, Chairman Natural Gas Group of the NPC Future Transportation Fuels Study & Chairman of Cummins Westport Inc and Agility Fuel Systems (also a member of the NGV Global Board) discussed the transformations occurring in the energy landscape across North America with Monika Gonda, Director North America Gas Summit.
Preparation are underway for the fifth “Blue Corridor” rally for factory-made natural gas vehicles (NGVs) in Russia. This year organised by Gazprom Transgaz Yekaterinburg, the journey will commence October 19th in Yekaterinburg, passing through Chelyabinsk – Ufa – Orenburg – Samara – Saratov – Volgograd – Voronezh – Tambov – Tula – to reach Moscow on November 1st, at distance of 3600 km. 
As part of the build-up to ANGVA’s 4th Natural Gas for Vehicles Conference & Exhibition for Asia-Pacific in Beijing, October 18-20, ANGVA kicked off the Green Highways 2011 (AGH2011) Southern Route on 12th July 2011 in Jakarta. The AGH2011′s torch and scroll was handed over from Team Indonesia to Team Singapore during the Flag off ceremony. ANGVA also held a Roundtable Forum over 12-13 July to discuss Effective Strategies to Push Indonesia’s CNG/NGV Program Successfully beyond 2011, attended by around 90 participants.
