Canadian Workshops to Focus on Medium and HD NGVs

EBI-fleet CNG Highway TractorSix natural gas fleet workshops will be held across Canada during February 2014 with a focus on medium- and heavy-duty factory-built natural gas vehicles. The half-day workshops are supported by Natural Resources Canada’s ecoENERGY for Alternative Fuels program.  These workshops aim to give fleets much needed information on operating compressed natural gas (CNG) or liquefied natural gas (LNG) vehicles including project implementation information as well as details regarding economic and environmental benefits. NGV Global invites nominations for the 2014 NGV Champion awards. These biennial awards recognise and honour individuals who, by their actions and endeavours, have promoted and inspired the development of a significant NGV program or activity.

The criteria for the awards include:

  • The achievements of the nominee have significantly advanced the use of natural gas as a vehicular fuel.
  • The achievements of the nominee can be clearly seen in terms of natural gas vehicles in use.
  • The achievements of the nominee have far reaching benefits in the widest interests of the NGV industry in the country concerned.
  • The achievements of the nominee are consistent with good character and political or business ethics.

Members and associate members of NGV Global are invited to make nominations for the NGV Champions award. (The nominee does not have to be a member or associate member of NGV Global.) Read more »
