Vanzetti Engineering S.r.l. has completed construction of Italy’s first public Liquefied to Compressed Natural Gas (LCNG) fuelling station. The station has been built at Villafalletto (Cuneo), about 50km south of Vanzetti’s base in Moretta, in the country’s north-west region. Featuring made-in-Italy technology, it has a capacity of 600 Nm3/h and is set to refuel up to 500 Kg/h. It operates independent of any pipeline supply.

Vanzetti Engineering Opens Italy’s First Public LCNG Fuelling Station
PetroChina Plans LNG Facility and Fuelling Stations for Lhasa, Tibet
PetroChina Co. Ltd plans to build a 300 million yuan (USD 44.1 million) liquefied natural gas (LNG) facility in western China to supply Tibet, according to parent China National Petroleum Corp (CNPC)’s news site. The project, scheduled to be operational by October 2011, will include as a third stage an unspecified number of gas stations in the Tibetan capital Lhasa, serviced by a 38 kilometer gas grid. CNPC says that once the Lhasa project is completed, LNG supply will be extended to other Tibetan regions.

CNG and LNG Station Opens in Northern Spain

Agas 21 serves CNG and LNG for heavy transport and public in northern Spain
In Spain’s northern province of Guipúzcoa (Basque Country), a new 24-hour natural gas service station has been opened under the name of Avia Gasogas. Agas 21, the company opening the facility, says it is the first public natural gas service station in the region to serve CNG and LNG for heavy vehicles, it is located in the municipality of Olaberria on the Autovia del Norte (North Highway).

Cummins to Expand High-Horsepower Engine Product Line
Cummins Inc. is expanding its High-Horsepower Technical Center and high-horsepower engine product line at its manufacturing facility in Seymour. Announced by Mark Levett, Vice President and General Manager – High-Horsepower Business, the expansion of the center will provide the company with more opportunities for producing high-horsepower clean-diesel and natural gas engines in the future. Cummins plans to invest approximately $100 million in the expansion at the Seymour plant, which is expected to result in approximately 200 engineering and manufacturing jobs over the next five years. The plant currently employs nearly 450 people.
