Emerson’s Micro Motion Coriolis Meters MID-Certified – Suited for LNG

Emerson Micro Motion ELITE Coriolis Meter

Emerson Micro Motion ELITE Coriolis Meter

Emerson Process Management has obtained an extension to its MID (Measurement Instrument Directive) certificate to include Micro Motion ELITE Coriolis meters for low flow applications. The Micro Motion meters are ideally suited to cryogenic applications for dispensing liquefied natural gas (LNG) fuel to motor vehicles, including public transport and trucks.  MID certification means that when these new, compact  flowmeters are used as a component of a complete measuring system, such as a fuel dispenser, it is not necessary for the dispenser manufacturer to type test and certify the devices – saving both time and money for the dispenser manufacturer.

Xebec Certified Vendor in China

September 14, 2009 – 4:25 pm | Canada and China

Canadian company Xebec Adsorption Inc., providers of equipment for the purification and dehydration of natural gas for natural gas vehicle (NGV) refueling stations, has become a certified vendor of natural gas dehydration equipment to Sinopec and CNPC – both leading Chinese energy companies and developers of compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling stations in China. In the year to date, Xebec says it has received orders for a total of four natural gas dryers from these companies for CNG stations to be constructed in late 2009. Delphi CNG Injector in development for 2011 launch

Delphi CNG Injector in development for 2011 launch

Delphi Corporation has announced new developments in the area of fuel injection systems, ignition, valve train and ancillary systems to assist European manufacturers of gasoline engines to meet growing demands for reduced CO2 and other tailpipe emissions without the cost and risk of radically different technologies. Included is a new CNG injector which Delphi’s chief engineer advanced powertrain, Dr. Walter Piock, says “is optimised for the unique chemical and physical properties of this low lubricity fuel”. The proposed new CNG injector can be driven by a typical gasoline ECM (Electronic Control Module) which enables low cost implementation. The planned introduction date is toward the end of 2011. Delphi meanwhile has also released worldwide emissions standards guides for heavy and light duty vehicles which may be of interest to NGV Global readers.
