WEH Service Centre Inaugurated in India

Greenfuel Energy Solutions in Gurgaon, just south of New Delhi and within India’s National Capital Region (NCR), and WEH Gas Technology of Germany, manufacturer of CNG and H2 refuelling systems, have jointly opened WEH’s first service center in the country. Taking eleven months to complete since contract signing in February 2011, the center was officially inaugurated on 17th January 2012. It is located in the heart of the Indian automotive supply industry and not far away from the headquarters of Maruti-Suzuki, one of India’s major automotive manufacturers.

Second Biogas Upgrading Plant Order for Xebec in South Korea

Xebec Adsorption Inc., a provider of biogas upgrading, natural gas and hydrogen purification solutions for the clean energy market, has been awarded a $2.2 million contract to supply a biogas upgrading plant for a waste to energy project located in South Korea. The order was placed by Potlatch Inc., a Korean developer and operator of renewable energy and fuel cell projects.

H2 Modular Refueller Gains CE Mark

ITM Power, a UK-based energy storage and clean fuel company, has achieved CE compliance for a standardised HFuel product, the Company’s transportable hydrogen refueling system. This enables commercial sales of such systems to commence in the EU. Following a competitive tender process, ITM Power won a contract to design and supply a refueling product to The University of Nottingham. This provided the opportunity to CE mark an HFuel generation, storage and dispensing product.

Xebec Natural Gas Dryers Head for Asian NGV Markets

Xebec Adsorption Inc., a provider of biogas upgrading, natural gas and hydrogen purification solutions for the clean energy market, has recently received first orders from three new customers valued at CDN 540,000 (USD 530,000) for its NGX line of natural gas dryers for use in compressed natural gas (CNG) refueling stations in Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Afghanistan and Thailand. These units will be manufactured in Xebec’s Shanghai facility.

Trinidad and Tobago Upgrades to NGV1 Fuelling Coupling

Trinidad and Tobago’s Ministry of Energy and Energy Affairs has moved to adopt NGV1 compressed natural gas (CNG) fuelling connectors in the country as part of their renewed natural gas vehicle (NGV) program. The country has had a moderate presence of up to 3,000 NGVs to date but the government is now working towards increasing that to 100,000 within the next five years.

Oasis Engineering Delivers Integrated Bus Fill Valve

New Zealand based Oasis Engineering Ltd, a supplier of specialist flow control equipment for compressed natural gas (CNG) has delivered its latest product offering to the market – the NC104 and FV103 Integrated Bus Fill Valve – displaying the refuelling unit last week at NGV Berlin. Oasis describes the result of three years R&D as taking “all the hassle out of owning a bus filling station”. The NC104 nozzle, combined with the FV103 valve with operating pressure range of 7 PSI to 6000 PSI, is designed to eliminate accidental venting between the “fill” and “vent” positions. It has numerous innovative features including an attachment mechanism that is self aligning, preventing inexperienced operators from jamming the jaws onto the receptacle, and is designing for easy onsite servicing.

Fuel Systems Solutions Acquires Remaining 50% Interest in MTE S.r.l.

Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. through its wholly owned subsidiary MTM S.r.l., purchased on June 1st the remaining 50% ownership interest in MTE S.r.l., a manufacturer of electronic control units (ECU) and electronic components for alternative fuel automotive and industrial systems in Italy. Fuel Systems Solutions first purchased a 50% interest in MTE in 2001. MTE is now being integrated into MTM, which is expected to improve efficiencies in both the engineering and production of ECU and electronic components for both automotive and industrial systems.

IMPCO to Acquire Alternative Fuel Systems

Fuel Systems Solutions, Inc. (FSYS), through its wholly owned subsidiary IMPCO Technologies, Inc. (IMPCO), and Alternative Fuel Systems (2004) Inc. (AFS) has agreed that IMPCO offer to acquire all of the outstanding common shares of AFS. The transaction is valued at approximately CAD 9.4 million (USD 9.78 million).
