xperion Energy & Environment GmbH has been awarded significant orders from 3 different Chinese based bus OEMs for its X-STORE Type IV cylinders for delivery to Indonesia. Partnering with C. Melchers GmbH & Co., xperion will deliver 600+ systems by the end of 2013.
This represents xperion’s largest tender award in Asia for CNG buses using Type IV cylinders this year. Sean Ellen, International Sales Manager expands further: “Working through our local agent, C. Melchers, xperion secured this business through a combination of best in class technology, competitive pricing and fast deliveries.”
These systems will support Jakarta Busways efforts to further promote fuel efficiency and reduced maintenance costs by replacing steel cylinders with lightweight X-STORE systems.
The 3 OEMs — Anhui Ankai Automobile Co. Ltd, Yutong Bus Co. Ltd, and Zhongtong Bus Holding Co. Ltd — are among the largest bus manufacturers and exporters of buses in China. This is the first time for all 3 OEMs utilizing Type IV technology.
