Volvo Trucks, the first manufacturer to introduce methane-diesel heavy duty trucks to Europe, has delivered the first FM model trucks to logistics transporters Wezenberg Group and Dasko Group, and Jumbo Supermarkets. These customers see investment in environmental care as part of corporate social responsibility appropriate to their type of transport.
Volvo says various studies show that Volvo Trucks’ methane-diesel technology, which uses liquefied natural gas (LNG) dual-fuel technology, are as reliable as trucks with a conventional engine. Handling characteristics are also similar to those of a conventional diesel truck.
