Unprecedented NGV Display For ACT Expo

Wonderful display, however, why only ONE passenger NGV when there are dozens available in Europe and Asia which could be imported to North America without significant problems or delay? If we are serious in the United States about a cleaner alternative fuel which is available right now, and for which we have ample supplies of fuel, then why aren’t American consumers given the same choice that Europeans and Asians are given in the passenger natural gas vehicle market? Why are only industrial solutions advertised and available? Biomethane plants are becoming economically viable and they do not cause the dangerous ecological damage of fracking, but we still see ONLY the Honda Civic GX for passenger vehicles. BTW, we have owned a Honda Civic GX since December 1998. We should NOT be among the few who do.

I can’t believe the arrogance and or ignorance of our Government not to implement CNG in all vehicles. Private, fleets, commercial. I would love to convert both our private vehicles to affordable price.

  3. We will have more than one light-duty NGV at the 2011 ACT Expo. The Buick Lucerne is also a passenger vehicle. What was provided here was just a short-list. In fact, we’ll have have perhaps more NGVs than any other alternative-fueled vehicles on display at the conference and expo.
