Trinidad & Tobago Calls for Local EOI’s for Incentives to Convert Heavy Vehicles to CNG

Trinidad CNG station sign NGC CNGNGC CNG Company Limited (NGC CNG), a subsidiary of The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago Limited, is currently seeking to offer Grant Incentives to suitably qualified local companies interested in the purchase of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) technology or the modification of their Heavy (HMV) and Extra Heavy Motor Vehicle (EHMV) fleets to use CNG. To that end is has published a covering document seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI).

NGC CNG proposes to offer Grant Incentives for the conversion of up to 450 vehicles. The size of grants may vary in accordance to four target groups identified in the EOI documentation, in decreasing order of priority: State (public) sector, light industrial commercial sector, private companies serving the opublic interest, and private companies with private interest.

The company has set minimum pre-qualification criteria which includes total CNG sales potential and accessibility of parties to a CNG filling station.
