Primo CNG Bus, San Antonio
The Board of Trustees of VIA Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio’s multi-modal transportation system, has made provision in its 2017 budget to replace ageing diesel buses with 135 Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) buses. VIA’s financial year commences 1st October.
“The new budget reflects VIA’s commitment to connecting the community through enhancing customer convenience, using technology and innovation, and applying our limited financial resources to do more with less,” said VIA President/CEO Jeffrey C. Arndt. “VIA works hard to serve our growing region while remaining actively engaged in an ongoing community conversation that examines shifting our region’s transportation focus from moving cars to moving people.”
In August this year, VIA Metropolitan Transit announced plans to add a major CNG system to its fueling facility in 2017.
