NGVi Expands Public NGV Technician Training to Canada

The growing interest in the use of natural gas vehicles in Canada over the past few years has stimulated Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi), a ASE CASE-accredited provider of technical training for the CNG and LNG industry in North America, to bring its award winning NGV technician training as a public offering for the first time to Toronto. NGVi will offer NGV Essentials and Safety Practices on March 15 and CNG Fuel System Inspector Training on March 16-17. Both classes will be held at Toronto’s Centennial College. Read more »

Trinidad MoU Supports Natural Gas Vehicle Maintenance Training

Trinidad and Tobago’s Minister of Tertiary Education and Skills Training, Senator the Honourable Fazal Karim, and Minister of Energy and Energy Affairs, Senator the Honourable Kevin Ramnarine, have attended the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the National Energy Skills Centre (NESC) and the National Gas Company (NGC) on October 15, which allows for the training of individuals in the maintenance of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) -powered vehicles. Rotterdam Unites Safety Research with First LNG Training Facility

This study is part of the LNG Masterplan Rhine-Main Danube project and will be ready at the end of this year. The U.S. Department of Energy’s (DOE) Office of International Affairs and the Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy’s Clean Cities program are hosting a Clean Cities Transportation Workshop for Policymakers on NGVs, to be held September 17, 2013 in Astana, Kazakhstan. The event will be the third such program training participants on natural gas vehicles and the Clean Cities model that the Department has conducted in Kazakhstan since 2011 in support of the U.S.-Kazakhstan Energy Partnership.
