The implementation of the conversion policy follows a successful six-month trial of dual-fuel engines and is aimed at cutting transport-related emissions. PitPoint Adds to Benelux CNG Station Network

Dutch green energy provider PitPoint is doing its best to make compressed natural gas (CNG) and compressed biomethane (renewable natural gas – RNG) more available throughout the Netherlands and Belgium. In July, the company opened two new PitPoint stations in Belgium, in Aalsmeer and Turnhout. In late August another CNG station was opened, this one in Cuijk in southern Netherlands. Read more »

GNF Introduces Major Taxi CNG Conversion Program in Mexico

“Switching Monterrey” is the name of a new program being financed by Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) in the capital of the Mexico’s northeastern state of Nuevo León. The initiative is intended to facilitate the conversion of 1,000 taxis to compressed natural gas (CNG), and marks the beginning of what Country Manager of Gas Natural Fenosa in Mexico, Narcís de Carreras, says is the first step to promoting natural gas fuel as a more economic and cleaner alternative to conventional fuels. Ola Cabs Plans Massive CNG Investment

Ola CabANI Technologies Private Limited, known by its business name in India as Ola Cabs, is committed to the mobility needs of Delhi NCR. Ola came to Delhi in 2012, and since then has set about implementing a cleaner city-wide taxi service through the use of natural gas vehicles. In March, Ola reportedly announced plans to invest Rs 200 crore (approx. USD 30 million) to further enable CNG vehicle adoption in Delhi-NCR. Read more »

Swedish Taxi Operator to Purchase 400 Volvo V70 Bi-Fuel

Volvo V70 bi-fuel 2016Sweden-based taxi operator Fågelviksgruppen (FVG) has signed an agreement covering the purchase of 400 Volvo V70 Bi-Fuel taxis (fitted with Westport technology and fuel systems) including options to purchase up to 240 more, reports Westport Innovations Inc. together with Volvo Car Sverige and Upplands Motor. First 400 Chery Bi-fuel CNG Taxis Arrive in Venezuela

In May this year, NGC CNG Company Limited and the Association of Maxi Taxi of Trinidad & Tobago signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to facilitate a grant for the purchase of Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) CNG maxi taxis. The “OEM CNG Maxi-Taxi Grant” is now officially available, to be awarded to qualified applicants on a first-come first-served basis. Read more »
