Belgium company IVAGO, a provider of waste management services to the city of Ghent, has added to its fleet ten new vehicles. All vehicles are powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG). To refuel the fleet, IVAGO has commenced construction of its own CNG filling station. Read more »

Turku Adopts LNG-Powered Waste Management Vehicle

NW Natural, an independent natural gas utility headquartered in Portland, Ore., is partnering with the City of Portland to put Renewable Natural Gas (RNG) converted from the city’s largest wastewater treatment plant on its pipeline and into vehicles. The Portland City Council has authorized the construction of a RNG production facility at the Columbia Boulevard Wastewater Treatment Plant in north Portland that will recover and clean biogas to pipeline quality. Italian natural gas vehicle manufacturer Iveco used the occasion of Pollutec 2016, held in Lyon early December, to deliver to Moulinot Compost & Biogas its first Daily 7 t powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and equipped with a bin for the collection of organic waste. Moulinot was founded in 2013 as part of a pilot project involving restaurants, caterers, hotels, markets, schools and others to collect and recycle bio-waste in order to reduce food waste while protecting the environment.
