Collaborators Focus on Promoting Natural Gas Vehicles and Fuel in Europe

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), IVECO (a brand of CNH Industrial) and ENGIE have agreed to collaborate on the promotion of natural gas vehicles and infrastructure in Europe, with a particular focus on certain countries and regions. The initiative will unfold first in the Wallonia region of Belgium. The collaboration is in line with the implementation of the DAFI Directive (Directive 2014/94 – Deployment of Alternative Fuels Infrastructures) and is part of a wider set of initiatives to promote sustainable mobility. Italian natural gas vehicle manufacturer Iveco used the occasion of Pollutec 2016, held in Lyon early December, to deliver to Moulinot Compost & Biogas its first Daily 7 t powered by compressed natural gas (CNG) and equipped with a bin for the collection of organic waste. Moulinot was founded in 2013 as part of a pilot project involving restaurants, caterers, hotels, markets, schools and others to collect and recycle bio-waste in order to reduce food waste while protecting the environment.
