Port of Amsterdam Doubles Incentive for LNG Fueled Vessels

Port of Amsterdam LNG bunkeringFor some years Port of Amsterdam has been giving discounts on port dues to vessels listed in the Environmental Ship Index (ESI) that have attained an ESI score of 20 points or higher. As of 1 August, this incentive will be doubled for vessels that are in the possession of an ESI certificate and use LNG for their main engine or auxiliary engine. The Port aims to have a bunker pontoon for LNG in place by the end of 2018. Raft of Legislation Pushes for NGV Parity in U.S.

That position is being addressed by new legislation, introduced by Sen. James Inhofe last week, which directs United States Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to incentivize natural gas vehicles (NGV). Industry stakeholders such as Ariel Corporation and VNG.co and the national natural gas vehicle association NGVAmerica have added their support by applauding the initiative. Gas Parity Bill Introduced in USA

U.S. Alternative Fuel Tax Credit Extension Applauded by NGVAmerica

The U.S. Government has approved the Bipartisan Budget Act of 2018, which includes provision of valuable tax related incentives for investment in alternative-fuels refueling infrastructure and adoption of natural gas, including renewable natural gas, as fuel.
