Italy_Snam image 600Snam, a European leader in gas infrastructure, has signed a major loan agreement with the European Investment Bank (EIB) to fund the roll-out of sustainable mobility projects, which focus on the use of natural gas and biomethane for light and heavy vehicles. This is the first EIB loan obtained by Snam for its wholly owned subsidiary, Snam4Mobility, which operates in the sustainable mobility sector. Read more »

FordonsGas now operates around 50 biomethane stations in the country and is committed to further developing this infrastructure and making liquified biomethane available for heavy-duty vehicles in Sweden. Belgium CNG Stations Proliferate

Enora CNG stationIt is four years since Enora, a company formed by ENGIE Electrabel, G&V Energy Group and the Picardy Wallonia Inter-Communal Development Agency (Ideta), inaugurated the first CNG service station in Wallonia, in the city of Tournai, home of Belgium’s heritage-listed Notre Dame Cathedral (12th century). California Energy Commission Funds RNG Projects

The  California Energy Commission has approved grants for demonstration projects that will apply innovative thinking to the production of renewable natural gas for transport applications from food waste and forest residue. Apart from a raft of technology goals, the success of these projects will also increase the supply of in-state natural gas; 90% of California’s supply currently arrives via pipeline from interstate. The opening continues Canada’s drive to offer greener choices while reducing pollution. Envoy Energy Fuels Inc. (Envoy Energy) and Truk-King Logistics Inc. DiGAS dual fuel for railLate last month, GRDF –one of the largest natural gas distributors in the European Union– visited Riga, Latvia’s capital city, together with representatives of the French city of Lille, to familiarize themselves with the dual-fuel gas operation of a converted diesel locomotive.
