French cruise company Ponant in late 2017 commissioned VARD shipbuilding group of Norway to build a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG)-fuelled luxury polar expedition cruise vessel, the first of it’s kind in the world. Omnitek’s Euro VI 13-Liter Natural Gas Engine Ready to Go

Omnitek Engineering Corp., developer of natural gas engines and conversion technology, has finalized the development of a 420 hp 13-liter heavy-duty natural gas engine for truck and bus applications. Russian heavy duty vehicle manufacturer PJSC KAMAZ has signed an agreement with Weichai Power Co. Ltd. of China to establish a joint venture on a parity basis for the production of industrial engines in Russia. The joint venture KAMAZ VEYCHA LLC, which specializes in the production of industrial diesel and natural gas engines with a capacity of more than 17 liters, capacity from 520 to 2000 kW, is planned to be located in the free areas of the KAMAZ subsidiary in the Yaroslavl Region – PJSC Tutaevsky Motor Plant. Nordlaks fishing wellboat LNG-battery hybridNordlaks in Stokmarknes, Norway, is currently building a 385m long and 60m wide offshore salmon farm. To service this new development, the company has ordered a new hybrid/Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) propelled live fish carrier (wellboat) to be built at the Tersan shipyard in Turkey.
