UNECE GRPE BannerThe UNECE Working Party on Pollution and Energy (GRPE) is the subsidiary body of the World Forum for Harmonization of Vehicle Regulations (WP.29) that prepares regulatory proposals on pollution and energy efficiency to WP.29.  This group of experts, which includes representation from NGV Global, conducts research and analysis to develop emission and energy requirements for vehicles. Caterpillar Establishes First Marine LNG Test Bed

Caterpillar Marine LNG Test Facility in Hamburg May2017Caterpillar Marine has unveiled the first Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) test bed for gas-fuelled engines at its facility in the port city of Kiel, 90 km north of Hamburg. Kenworth Explores Hybrid-Electric Trucking with CWI ISL G Near Zero Engine

Kenworth_T680 day-cab hybrid-electric-CNG prototype illustration 2017 Kenworth Truck Company is developing a prototype series hybrid-electric T680 day cab designed to produce near-zero-emissions. The truck will use the currently available Cummins Westport ISL G Near Zero NOx engine fueled by compressed natural gas (CNG) to generate electrical power. California NGV Coalition Urges LA Ports to Adopt Aggressive Clean Truck Program

New Natural Gas Engine Lineup from Cummins Westport

(CWI) is introducing model year 2018 dedicated natural gas engines for regional haul truck / tractor, vocational and transit, school bus, and refuse applications. The new lineup comes with a change in names, following Cummins tradition of using B, L, and X series letters, followed by engine displacement.
