Zvezda to Build Dual-fuel Arctic Gas Carrier for Sovcomflot
Zvezda Shipbuilding Complex in Russia’s far east and Russia’s largest shipping company Sovcomflot (SCF) have signed a contract to build a dual-fuel gas carrier vessel for the Arctic LNG 2 project. DSIC and Cosco Shipping Sign MOU for EEDI-Phase 3 Dual-Fuel VLCC

At the COSCO annual meeting in Shanghai last week, COSCO SHIPPING Energy Transportation Co., Ltd (CSET) and Dalian Industry Shipbuilding Co., Ltd. (DSIC) officially signed a Memorandum of Cooperation that will lead to the construction of the world’s first LNG Dual-Fuel VLCC (very large crude carrier). Furetank Orders New Dual-Fuel Vessel and Sells ‘Fure Vinga’

Swedish shipping company Furetank Rederi AB has signed a contract for one 17,999 dwt dual-fuel product tanker at Avic Dingheng Shipbuilding. The agreement with the yard includes an option for one further vessel. It will also sell the Fure Vinga, its 17,999 dual-fuel product tanker which entered into service in 2018, to Canadian buyers. MAN Wins LNG Dual-Fuel Engine Order for Six Boxships
Singapore-based Eastern Pacific Shipping has exercised an option on an existing order to request six 15,000-teu boxships. MAN Energy Solutions reports that the six units will be built as MAN B&W 11G90ME-GI dual-fuel configurations operating on Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) with delivery dates scheduled between 2020-2022. Baltic LNG Bunkering Vessel Newbuild Underway for Eesti Gaas
Eesti Gaas, an Estonian energy company, says steel cutting for its LNG (liquefied natural gas) bunker vessel has commenced. Dutch shipbuilding company Damen performed the inaugural cut in the Yichang shipyard in China. The ship will start refuelling Eesti Gaas’s environmentally friendly LNG clients in and around the Gulf of Finland in the second half of next year. Read more »

United European Car Carriers (UECC), jointly owned by Nippon Yusen Kabushiki Kaisha (NYK) and Wallenius Lines, has signed a contract to construct two new generation hybrid-fuel PCTCs with China Ship Building Trading Co., Ltd and Jiangnan Shipyard Group Co. Deltamarin Wins Design Contract for New Finnish-Swedish Ferry
Deltamarin, a designer of ships for marine and offshore industries, has signed a contract with Rauma Marine Constructions Oy (RMC) for the design of a Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) powered car passenger ferry for Kvarken Link AB, a Finnish-Swedish consortium.
