Federación Gallega de Transportes de Mercancías (tr. Galician Federation of Transports), known as FEGATRAMER, has signed a collaboration agreement with Spain’s HAM Group that aims to encourage uptake of natural gas as a fuel for transportation. Parisienne commuters will be able to enjoy even more natural gas buses from 2019 when Parisian transport operator, RATP (Régie Autonome des Trasports Parisiens) will receive 150 IVECO Bus Urbanway Natural Power buses. The order forms part of the city’s BUS 2025 plan to replace its entire fleet with non-polluting vehicles. Read more »

Westport Will Sell CNG Compressor Business to Snam S.p.A.

Westport Fuel Systems Inc. has entered into an agreement to sell its Cherasco, Italy-based compressed natural gas (CNG) compressor business to Snam S.p.A. for a cash purchase price of EUR 12.5M (USD 14.8M), subject to certain customary adjustments and closing conditions. Snam owns Europe’s largest, most accessible pipeline network (32,455 km), one of the largest storage infrastructures in the European Union (16.5 bcm capacity) and the first LNG terminal built in Italy. PennDOT Completes 12 of 29 CNG Stations

According to the PA Department of Transportation (PennDOT), eight stations were completed in 2017 and four have been opened in 2018. Station builder Trillium, PennDOT and New Castle Transit Authority (NCTA) celebrated the opening of one of those stations last week. Read more »

Clare. The Shannon site is part of Gas Networks Ireland’s strategy to further develop a market for natural gas as a lower-emission transport fuel.
