Through the BESTWay Project, an infrastructure initiative between Spain and France which is co-financed by the European Union’s Connecting Europe Facility (CEF), Gas Natural Fenosa reports having completed 70% of a natural gas refuelling corridor from Algeciras, one of Europe’s largest ports, to Paris. Federación Gallega de Transportes de Mercancías (tr. Galician Federation of Transports), known as FEGATRAMER, has signed a collaboration agreement with Spain’s HAM Group that aims to encourage uptake of natural gas as a fuel for transportation. Parisienne commuters will be able to enjoy even more natural gas buses from 2019 when Parisian transport operator, RATP (Régie Autonome des Trasports Parisiens) will receive 150 IVECO Bus Urbanway Natural Power buses. Enco to Invest USD 6.6M in CNG Stations for Mexico

ENCO CNG StationOnexpo Nacional, AC, the association representing Mexico’s gasoline station industry, reports that Energía y Combustibles (Enco) will invest MXN 130M (USD 6.6M) this year in new service stations for natural gas vehicles (NGV) in the country. About 30% of this sum will be directed to Nuevo León for the construction of a service centre for an as yet unnamed fleet operator and a self-service center located in the metropolitan area of ​​Monterrey. Westport Will Sell CNG Compressor Business to Snam S.p.A.

Westport Fuel Systems Inc. has entered into an agreement to sell its Cherasco, Italy-based compressed natural gas (CNG) compressor business to Snam S.p.A. for a cash purchase price of EUR 12.5M (USD 14.8M), subject to certain customary adjustments and closing conditions. Snam owns Europe’s largest, most accessible pipeline network (32,455 km), one of the largest storage infrastructures in the European Union (16.5 bcm capacity) and the first LNG terminal built in Italy. PennDOT Completes 12 of 29 CNG Stations

Trillium New Castle TA Ribbon CuttingThe Commonwealth of Pennsylvania continues to roll out its CNG P3 Project which aims to construct fueling stations for the supply of Compressed Natural Gas to more than 1,600 public-transit buses at 29 sites. According to the PA Department of Transportation (PennDOT), eight stations were completed in 2017 and four have been opened in 2018. Station builder Trillium, PennDOT and New Castle Transit Authority (NCTA) celebrated the opening of one of those stations last week. Read more »
