Saint-Hyacinthe Biomethanation Plant Now Fully Operational

The first municipal biomethanation project in Québec, located in the City of Saint-Hyacinthe, has now entered full service. It will produce about 13 million m3 of renewable natural gas from conversion of organic materials, for transportation fuel and other uses. The process will help reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by 49,000 tonne-equivalents of carbon dioxide in Québec each year. Read more »

Renewable Dairy Fuels (RDF), a business unit of AMP Americas, announced from the 2018 Rethink Methane Symposium held this week in Sacramento, California, that construction is underway on the country’s largest on-farm anaerobic digester-to-vehicle fuel operation. Located in Fair Oaks, Indiana, the dairy project will be the company’s second biogas facility producing renewable natural gas (RNG) from dairy waste for transportation fuel.
