Collaborators Focus on Promoting Natural Gas Vehicles and Fuel in Europe

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA), IVECO (a brand of CNH Industrial) and ENGIE have agreed to collaborate on the promotion of natural gas vehicles and infrastructure in Europe, with a particular focus on certain countries and regions. The initiative will unfold first in the Wallonia region of Belgium. The collaboration is in line with the implementation of the DAFI Directive (Directive 2014/94 – Deployment of Alternative Fuels Infrastructures) and is part of a wider set of initiatives to promote sustainable mobility. Viking Grace to become First LNG/wind Electric Propulsion Hybrid Ship

Finnish company Norsepower Oy Ltd., a provider of low maintenance, software operated, and data verified auxiliary wind propulsion systems, says it has signed an agreement with Finnish shipping company Viking Line to install its Rotor Sail Solution onboard the M/S Viking Grace, an LNG-fuelled cruise ferry. United States Identifies Alt-fuel Corridors

Alt-fuels c orridorThe U.S. Department of Transportation’s Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) has named 55 routes, totalling 85,000 miles, that will serve as the basis for a national network of alternative fuel corridors spanning 35 states. BRC Funded to Build Four Biomethane Filling Stations in Sweden’s West

Residents in Sweden’s Västra Götaland localities of Mellerud, Strömstad, Bengtsfors and Åmål will have the option to refuel with biomethane (renewable natural gas) by spring of 2018, reports BRC Sweden which has been allocated nearly SEK 8.9 million (approx. Like the new Audi A3 g-tron added to its offerings last year, the car can run on Audi e-gas or natural gas, but also on gasoline.
