State of Ohio Continues CNG Fuel Tax Exemption

| USA, Columbus OH

The Ohio House of Representatives has passed its state transportation budget, a two-year funding plan that addresses the State of Ohio’s infrastructure needs while utilizing innovations in technology and maintaining a competitive tax structure.

Importantly for NGV current and prospective operators, the bill continues to exempt compressed natural gas (CNG) from motor fuel tax to avoid placing an additional burden on an industry that is still in its early stages.

House Bill 26 now awaits consideration in the Ohio Senate.
