Solaris Urbino 12 CNG
The city of Burgas, the fourth largest in Bulgaria and located on the Black Sea coast, is soon to see Compressed Natural gas (CNG) buses on its streets. Polish manufacturer Solaris Bus and Coach will supply 38 Solaris Urbino 12 CNG buses, with the order to be completed in the first half of 2013. The low-floor city buses will be used to provide public transportation for tourists visiting this resort city.
Solaris says its CNG bus technology reduces the emission of harmful substances by up to 85 %, and in the case of particulate matter by almost 100 %, compared to traditional diesel engines.
The Urbino 12 CNG is equipped with an FPT Cursor 8 CNG engine (213 kW) and carries 6 ECE R110 composite gas cylinders, each of 214 litres.
