At the end of June, Czech Republic’s largest gas trader RWE launched its eleventh Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling station in Olomouc, a city in Moravia in the country’s east. The station operates 24/7 for supply via fuel cards and from 0500 to 2200 for attendant service.
The introductory price for CNG at the new station is only CZK 25 per kilogram (USD 1.02), which is only 17.8 CZK m³ (USD 0.72), a price set by RWE Energy to encourage use of this new facility.
In July a new CNG station will be added in Brno in the country’s south, and in the coming months another CNG station will be opened in Kosmonosy, 65 kms northeat of Prague.
