Price Pressure Prompts CNG Adoption in Mexico City

CDMX fleet vehicles (Mexico City)The Government of Mexico City is to replace 1,500 gasoline-operated vehicles in its fleet with those powered by Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) as part of a raft of measures, announced by head of city government Miguel Angel Mancera Espinosa, to offset the increased prices of oil-based fuels.

Fueling infrastructure will also be addressed, with ten new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations planned to be operating within six months by the city government, to meet the demands of the new vehicles.
