Polish Government Funds Dual-Fuel Research

Researchers at Poland’s Technical University of Lublin have received a 3 million zloty (USD 0.9 million) government grant, from the National Centre for Research and Development, to progress research on the operation of diesel engines using compressed natural gas (CNG), reports dziennik wschodni. Professor Miroslaw Wendeker of Lublin University of Technology Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, says the project will explore how to dispense fuel directly into the combustion chamber, thereby reducing diesel consumption, fuel cost and ecological impact.
