State-owned Philippine National Oil Co.-Exploration Corp. (PNOC-EC) plans to commission to new Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) filling stations in April this year, reports Business World Online. The successful tenderer for supply of the “CNG modular refilling stations” was not identified by Energy Department Undersecretary Loreta G. Ayson but it is understood the evaluation process is near completion.
The new daughter stations are reportedly to be located in BiƱan, Laguna and in an area operated by the Philippine Ports Authority in Batangas City. PNOC-EC has previously acquired CNG stations from Shell in Tabangao, Batangas and Mamplasan, Laguna.
The work, first announced at an ANGVA Forum in the Philippines, will be carried out under the Natural Gas Vehicles Program for Public Transport (NGVPPT) program, as part of measures to refuel 200 CNG buses.
