Synergy Natural Resources, an oil and gas industry holding company based in Fayetteville, Georgia, has signed a deal to convert 200 Peterbilt trucks to natural gas. Westport Fuel Systems out of Louisville, Kentucky is supplying Westport dual tank icepack kits for the conversion for a total cost of $7.5 million.
Synergy is ramping up for the demonstrations all across the U.S. of their PASS Box technology. The entire project budget for Synergy is $94 million. These trucks will use 13 trailer mounted mobile natural gas refuelers provided by NuBlu Innovations out of Flower Mound, TX. NuBlu is developing a natural gas liquification facility in West Texas.
