Peruvian Law Expected to Stimulate NGV Growth

| Peru, San Borja

The adoption of a law creating the Energy Security in Oil and Energy Social Inclusion Fund marks the beginning of the massification of gas that will benefit the poorest families in the country and will bring this service to remote areas,  says Peru’s Minister of Energy and Mines (MEM), Jorge Merino Tafur. With a grant of $300 per vehicle the law is also expected to stimulate compressed natural gas (CNG) vehicle conversions, with up to 40,000 per annum projected.
