NGV Rally Celebrates KAMAZ 45th Anniversary

This year’s rally of KAMAZ natural gas vehicles (NGVs) running on methane is devoted to the forthcoming 45th birthday of KAMAZ and Russia Day. It is organized by OJSC KAMAZ and its official partner OOO RariTEK. The total length of the route is 5,800 kilometers.

According to Ruslan Ziatdinov, Director of NGV Sales of KAMAZ F&T CO, a member of the project, the rally is to popularize more efficient and environmentally friendlier vehicles. KAMAZ’s group of gas-powered vehicles will consist of five units:

  • NEFAZ-5299-30-51 city low-entry bus,
  • KAMAZ-6520 dump truck,
  • KAMAZ-4308 garbage truck,
  • KAMAZ-4911 racing truck of the KAMAZ-master team, and
  • Bravis bus – the first experimental “gas” model designed by the JV of KAMAZ and Brazilian Marcopolo.

The participants of the event will show their vehicles, tell about their advantages at meetings and conferences in large cities. The NGV race will start on May 31 in Naberezhnye Chelny, and the vehicles are to finish in Crimea: in Simferopol on June 11, and in Sevastopol on June 12.
