Trillium CNG, provider of turnkey compressed natural gas (CNG) fueling infrastructure, and Golden Eagle Distributors, Inc., exclusive distributor of Anheuser-Busch brewery products will soon open two CNG fueling stations in the U.S. state of Arizona. The two sites, located in Tucson and Casa Grande, will provide CNG fuel for Golden Eagle’s fleet of class 7 and 8 natural gas powered trucks. Both sites will be open to the public 24 hours per day, seven days per week providing convenient access to CNG in the surrounding areas.
Last year Golden Eagle decided to convert its entire heavy duty fleet of 22 diesel-powered delivery vehicles in Tucson to CNG vehicles, using trucks leased from Ryder System, Inc.
The stations will incorporate Pinnacle CNG System’s hydraulic intensifier compressor, which optimizes the use of the high pressure storage at the station. This will allow trucks to fuel at rates of 8-10 gallons (30-38 litres) per minute.
Construction for the Tucson site began in March 2012, scheduled to open in June 2012. Work will commence at the Casa Grande shortly, with a scheduled opening in August. Trillium CNG will build, operate and maintain both locations.
