In the United States, the Natural Gas Vehicle Institute (NGVi) has added two natural gas vehicle training courses to its curriculum: NGV Maintenance and Diagnostics Training: Heavy-Duty Vehicles and NGV Maintenance and Diagnostics Training: Light-Duty Vehicles, reports NGT News.
Basic skills in vehicle repair is a pre-requisite.
NGVi says there are four key factors vital to safe NGV fleet operations:
- Safe driving
- Safe fueling
- Safe maintenance
- Standardized fuel system inspections
