Mr Sergio Mujica has taken up his appointment as new Secretary-General (CEO) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), having spent 7 years at the World Custom’s Organization (WCO) as Deputy Secretary-General. As an organization in liaison with ISO, NGV Global welcomes Mr Mujica and looks forward to furthering the safe adoption of methane-powered transportation under his leadership.

This included simplification, harmonization and standardization of custom’s procedures in addition to capacity building initiatives aimed at the WCO members. This gave him significant experience in an international setting, building consensus within a large membership-based organization.

“On behalf of the ISO family, I would like to congratulate Mr Sergio Mujica on his appointment as ISO Secretary-General and I look forward to working with him in the future,” said ISO President Dr Zhang Xioagang at the time of the appointment..
Mr Mujica takes over from Mr Kevin McKinley, who has been Acting Secretary-General of ISO since August 2015, after spending 12 years as Deputy Secretary-General.
