Grupo Transportes Monterrey, headquartered in the State of Nuevo León in northeast Mexico, has reported via media service T21 of its initial experience with Compressed natural Gas (CNG) powered trucks. The group acquired 10 Kenworth T680 CNG trucks about 12 months ago and says that thus far 288 tons of CO2 emissions have been prevented.
Satisfaction with the performance of the trucks to date has prompted the Group to evaluate the acquisition of 20 more trucks in 2017.
Grupo Transportes Monterrey confirmed with T21 its commitment towards cleaner operations and has projected the fleet will have 140 to 150 natural gas trucks during the 2018-2021 triennium.
